Michael Germer has won 2nd Prize at the Singapore International Violin Competition 2026 — one of the world’s most prestigious violin competitions.
In the final, he performed Shostakovich’s Violin Concerto No. 1 with the Singapore Symphony Orchestra, conducted by Joshua Tan.
Michael also received a special prize for the best performance of the competition’s commissioned work, Soliloquy by David Loke.
